Privacy Policy

• Free scan: your file is read in memory and discarded when the scan ends. It is never written to disk and we keep no copy.
• Paid products: your resume text is sent to Anthropic's AI to structure and rewrite it, and we keep the finished resume for up to about 25 hours so we can email it to you if you leave before downloading.
• No account, no advertising, no data sales. We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
• Delete anything: email hello@atsverification.com and we will delete what we hold about you.

• Your resume file (free scan): read in memory to extract the text and run our checks, then discarded, usually within seconds. The extracted text is shown to you and kept only in your own browser tab (session storage) so the results survive a refresh; closing the tab clears it.
• Your resume content (paid products): when you buy a rebuild, rewrite, job match, LinkedIn profile, MBA resume or Executive CV, your resume text is sent to Anthropic to be structured and, where you asked for it, rewritten. The finished resume is kept on our database (Upstash) for up to about 25 hours, only so we can email it to you if you close the page before downloading. It is deleted as soon as you download, or automatically when that time runs out. Your files are also emailed to you, so a copy sits in your inbox and in our email provider's delivery log.
• Your email address: collected by Stripe when you pay, and used to send your files and receipt. If you type your email into the site (for example, to get a copy of your report), we use it to send that, add it to our newsletter on Beehiiv, and send at most one follow-up email from us. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and replying "unsubscribe" to the follow-up removes you from everything. If you email us, we keep the conversation.
• Payment details: handled entirely by Stripe on their checkout page. We never see your card number. We can see what you bought, the amount, your email and country, which Stripe keeps as the record of the sale.
• Your country: our host tells us which country your connection comes from. We use it to show prices in local terms and to count scans and orders by country. We do not store it with your identity, except on a paid order, where it is part of the Stripe record.
• Your IP address: used briefly to stop abuse (for example, limiting how many scans one connection can run in a few minutes). It is not stored with anything else and is discarded when the limit window ends, at most an hour.
• Anonymous counts: how many scans ran, which problems were found and in which countries, with no file content and nothing that identifies you. These power our public data report.
• A record of each scan: a random scan ID, the date, your country, phone or computer, the site you came from, the file type and size, the program that made the file, the word count, the score and which problems were found. Yes/no flags record whether an email address or phone number was found, never the address or number itself. The file, its text and your name are not part of it. While your results are on screen, the record also counts what you do there: time on the page, how far you scrolled, and which buttons you clicked (for example, whether you opened checkout). It stops counting once you buy. We use these records to improve the checker and to see which pages help people. Your browser keeps the scan ID for 7 days; if you buy in that time, it is added to the order so we can see which scan led to it.
• "Was this scan useful?": if you answer, the yes or no is added to that scan's record. If you also type a comment, it is kept on its own, with the scan ID and your country, up to 300 characters; email addresses, phone numbers and links in it are blanked out before it is saved. We read the comments to improve the checker.
• Resume builder: your draft is saved only in your own browser's storage as you type; we do not receive it while you edit or preview. When you make your files, the draft is sent to our server to build the PDF and Word and read them back, and nothing is kept once they are returned to you. If you import an old resume, the file is read on our server and its text is sent to Anthropic to sort it into the form (Anthropic's retention is described below); we keep neither. We count anonymous builder events (step reached, files made, import started or failed) with no resume content, and the AI cost of each import as a number.
• Federal Resume Checker: your file is read in memory to run the checks and discarded when the check ends. It is never written to disk and no AI model sees it. A job announcement you paste is used for that check only and not kept. We count anonymous daily totals (number of checks, the overall result, whether the file was over two pages, and whether the visitor was in the US) with no resume content.
• Tips: if you leave a tip, Stripe handles the payment exactly like an order (see Payment details above) and the tip is linked to your scan ID. A tip buys nothing and you can ask for it back within 30 days.
• Site analytics: page views and clicks, measured without cookies (see Cookies below).

These services run parts of the product. Each sees only what it needs:

• Vercel (USA): hosts the site and runs the scanner; files pass through its servers during the request. Also provides cookieless page-view analytics. Privacy policy
• Anthropic (USA): receives your resume text for paid products only. Under its commercial terms, API data is not used to train its models. As Anthropic publishes, it deletes what it receives within 30 days by default, and may keep content its safety systems flag for up to 2 years. We have no special zero-retention agreement with Anthropic. Privacy policy
• Stripe (USA): payments, receipts and refunds. Privacy policy
• Upstash (USA): our database for the held copy of a paid resume (up to about 25 hours), delivery records, abuse limits and anonymous counters. Privacy policy
• Resend (USA): sends our emails, including your resume files. Privacy policy
• Zoho Mail: hosts our hello@atsverification.com inbox, where your emails to us arrive. Privacy policy
• Beehiiv (USA): our newsletter list, for emails typed into the site. Privacy policy
• Google Analytics: anonymous page and click measurement, set to store no cookies on your device. Privacy policy

We don't sell your data, share it for advertising, or give it to employers or recruiters.

• Uploaded file (free scan): seconds, in memory only. Never written to disk.
• Extracted text (free scan): only in your own browser tab, until you close it.
• Finished resume (paid): up to about 25 hours on our database, then deleted; deleted sooner when you download.
• Resume text sent to Anthropic (paid): deleted by Anthropic within 30 days by default (up to 2 years if its safety systems flag it), as Anthropic publishes.
• Server logs: our host keeps short-lived technical logs (errors, timings, order references). We do not write your resume content or email address into them.
• Scan records: kept with no fixed end date, because they hold no file, text, name or contact details. If a scan ID was added to an order, it is kept with the payment record.
• Delivery record (paid): the order reference and when your files were delivered, for 180 days, so we can resend or refund.
• Email you typed into the site: up to 7 days in our database for the one follow-up email, plus a 60-day marker so you are never sent a second one, and on our newsletter list until you unsubscribe.
• Payment records: kept by Stripe and in our accounts for 7 years, as US tax rules require.
• Survey comments: up to the latest 5,000 comments; older ones are deleted as new ones arrive.
• Emails you send us: until you ask us to delete them.

We don't set advertising or tracking cookies. Google Analytics runs in Google's "consent denied" mode, which sends anonymous page and click events without storing any cookie or identifier on your device. Vercel's analytics is cookieless too. Your scan results are kept in your browser's session storage, which never leaves your device. Your browser's local storage keeps two small items: the page and link you first arrived from (30 days) and your last scan ID (7 days). Both are sent to us only with a scan or a checkout, to see which pages help people. If you use the resume builder, local storage also holds your draft (until you press "Start again" or clear your browser data) and, after an import, a random signed ID used only to count imports per browser. Clearing your browser data removes them. That is why there is no cookie banner.

Wherever you live, you can:

• Ask what we hold about you.
• Ask us to delete it. We do it within 30 days, usually much sooner; most of it deletes itself anyway. Stripe's payment records are kept for the legal period.
• Ask for a copy in a machine-readable format.
• Stop our emails: use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter, or reply "unsubscribe" to any email from us.
• Complain: in the EU or UK, to your data protection authority; in California, you have CCPA rights, including not being treated differently for using them.

Our services are run from the United States. If you use the site from elsewhere, your data is processed in the US by the providers above, under their own safeguards for international transfers.

The service is meant for job seekers, typically 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you think a child has used it, email us and we'll delete the data.

When the way we handle data changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
