ATS Verification

How it works

Free scan. Free look at your rebuilt resume. $5 only if you want the file.

ATS Verification shows you the exact text an applicant tracking system extracts from your resume, names every parsing failure, then rebuilds the resume into a structure the software reads cleanly and shows you page one, free, before you decide anything.

The five steps

  1. Upload a PDF or Word resume at atsverification.com/scan. No signup, no email, no card.
  2. See what the software read. The scanner runs the same kind of plain-text extraction Workday-class systems run and shows the result next to your original, line by line. It takes about 20 seconds.
  3. See what broke. Each failure is named with a severity and a one-line fix: two-column layouts, tables, icon bullets, unreadable dates, missing section headings, a name the parser could not find. The score is 100 minus fixed penalties, so the same file always scores the same.
  4. See it rebuilt, free. If the resume needs fixing, the site rebuilds it into a single-column, standard-heading version using your exact wording and shows page one on screen, watermarked, in about 10 to 20 seconds. Resumes that already parse clean are told so and are not sold the rebuild.
  5. Download if you want it. The clean Word and PDF files are $5, paid once. Nothing renews. 30-day money-back guarantee.

What it does not do

What the data says

From more than 5,300 scans: 42% of resumes contained a table the parser flattened into one line, 26% had a name the parser could not find, 19% used long dashes that come out as junk characters, 16% used icon bullets that become empty boxes, and 11% were two-column layouts whose sidebar merged into the work history. The live figures and the method are on the data report; the parser is documented on the methodology page.

Who it is for

Anyone applying through an applicant tracking system, mainly in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and the Gulf. There are guides by profession, by country and by ATS platform under resumes for you and by ATS, and a comparison with Jobscan.

Questions

What does ATS Verification do?

It shows you the exact text an applicant tracking system extracts from your resume, names every parsing failure, and rebuilds the resume into a single-column, standard-heading structure using your own wording. Page one of the rebuilt resume is shown on screen for free. The clean Word and PDF files are a one-time $5.

Is it free?

The scan, the list of issues, the score and the on-screen preview of the rebuilt resume are free with no signup. Downloading the rebuilt Word and PDF files costs $5 once. There is no subscription.

Does it give an ATS match score against a job description?

No. The free scan shows extracted text and structural failures, and the score is a deterministic penalty count, not a prediction. Job-description matching is a separate paid option that shows the keyword gap against one posting.

What happens to my resume file?

It is parsed in memory and deleted within 60 seconds of the scan. There is no account, no email gate on the free scan, and nothing is stored except an anonymous count of which failure types occurred.

Which ATS systems does it test against?

The extraction mirrors the plain-text parsing used by Workday-class systems, and the failure checks come from observed behaviour of Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Taleo, iCIMS, SAP SuccessFactors, Ashby and SmartRecruiters. It does not log into any of those systems.

Will it rewrite my resume?

Not unless you ask. The $5 rebuild keeps your exact wording and only changes the structure. Bullet rewrites in STAR, XYZ or PAR format are a separate $9 option, and you approve each rewritten line before it is used.

What if my resume is already fine?

If the scan finds no issues, or the score is 85 or above, the site tells you the resume parses clean and does not sell you the rebuild.

Who is behind it?

See it on your own resume. About 20 seconds, no signup, and the file is gone from the server a minute later.
